Project Location
The Ewaso Ngiro – Entasereka (B19) Road is an earth road that lies entirely in Narok County, and is approximately 100 Km in length. The project starts at Ewaso Ngiro at the junction of the B19 Road with the B7 Road and runs in a South Easterly Direction through Kanunga, Narosura, and Morijo Towns before terminating in Entasereka.
STUDY OBJECTIVES
The main objective of the project is to design the road to its current class B road with improved road geometry & enhanced cross section, provision of adequate drainage structures, dualling within town sections to enhance the capacity, provisions of bypass roads for towns and interchanges at major intersections with aim to reduce travel time and associated vehicle operating cost (VOC), promoting trade, alleviating poverty and promoting social-economic development of the areas served by the road.
The study will provide the decision makers in the Government of Kenya, with sufficient information to rehabilitate the road to all weather conditions and of higher design standards.
