Scope Of Service
To carry out economic feasibility study, preliminary and detailed engineering design of the optimum alignment and identify the most economically justified geometric and pavement design solution that provides the decision makers in the Government of Kenya, with sufficient information to construct the road to all-weather bitumen road.
Project Location
The project roads total 20 km consisting of two independent links, one running on the western side of the two and the other on the Eastern side of Meru Municipality in Meru County, Kenya. The town is on the Eastern slopes of Mt. Kenya, a few kilometers north of the equator. The hinterland is agriculturally productive with major food crops such as maize, beans, bananas, potatoes, pigeon peas, cow peas while the major cash crops are tea, coffee, wheat, sorghum and horticultural crops.

The expected benefits of the project upon construction are:
- Sustainable, safe road network, which facilitates economic growth and improves living standards in Kenya;
- improved traffic movement within and around the Meru town;
- increase by diverting through traffic from town
